Jarilyn Throne, LCPC, NCC, M.Ed

 

  • Jarilyn received a B.S. in Child, Family and Consumer Studies from the University of Idaho and her M.Ed. in Counseling from Northwest Nazarene University. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).

    Jarilyn has additional training in expressive therapies and has completed facilitator training for the Nurturing Parenting Program. She has over fifteen years experience working with at-risk youth and vicitms of domestic violence, trauma and dual diagnoses.  Jarilyn's theoretical base is Client Centered. She integrates approaches from Non-Directive Client Centered counseling,Non-Directive Play and Art therapy, as well as information from Systemic, Cognitive-Behavioral, and Adlerian theories of counseling.  Jarilyn bases her theoretical views on the belief that all clients have strengths and the ability to gain personal insights in order to make positive changes in their lives
