Debi ScholtenRiverside now has two Masters level Art Therapists on staff Cherie Senieur
We would like to welcome Cherie Senieur to our clinical staff. Cherie's Master's Degree and considerable experience in Art Therapy and counseling are a great addition to our staff. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). Cherie has years of experience working on hospital inpatient units doing art therapy with adolescents and adults, both in Idaho and in New Mexico. She is also trained in Sandtray therapy and has utilized Sandtrays for years in combination with art making as healing modalities. She will be working with adults, adolescent and children at Riverside. We are very pleased to have Cherie’s creative genius and healing presence on our staff.
We’d like to also note that, with the addition of Cherie to our staff, we now have two Masters level Art Therapists at Riverside. To have two Art Therapists in one clinic in the Boise area is a rarity as there are still only a handful of Art Therapists in Idaho. Our Clinical Director, Jerilynn Blum, LCPC, is also an Art Therapist. Both Senieur and Blum are transplants to Idaho from the Albuquerque/Santa Fe area, which is a hotbed of Art Therapy and Sandplay therapies. Senieur studied at the University of New Mexico and Blum obtained her degree at Southwestern College in Santa Fe.
