Owner and President - Lee Barton, M.Ed., C.R.C.

 
  • Lee Barton Lee Barton, M. Ed., C.R.C. holds a Masters of Education from the College of Idaho and is a nationally Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC). Lee has over twenty years experience as a professional rehabilitation counselor in Idaho. He founded Riverside REHAB, Inc. (formerly REHABworks, Inc.) in 1994 with one other person. Since that time the company has grown to what is today a staff of over thirty professionals providing both community and clinic based services to a variety of recipients from two Boise locations.
      Lee’s commitment to serving the needs of Idaho’s mental health community and developmentally disabled individuals is demonstrated through his volunteer efforts. In addition to overseeing Riverside REHAB, Inc., Lee currently serves as President of the Mental Health Providers Association of Idaho. The Association is comprised of more than 70 providers of mental heath services in the private sector from every region in Idaho. First as Treasurer and then as President of the Association, Lee has been involved with a number or working groups formed by the Department of Health and Welfare during their Medicaid reform efforts over the last several years. He has made a number of presentations to the Department as well as the Idaho Legislature on behalf of Medicaid recipients in Idaho. Lee also serves as representative to a coalition of associations who each serve the needs of mental health and developmentally disabled recipients. He will continue to serve the Mental Health Providers of Idaho as their Legislative Chair and Immediate Past President beginning in April, 2009.

      Lee’s background includes 22 years as an officer and jet pilot in the United States Air Force. Lee and his wife, Connie, have one son who also works in healthcare delivery.
