      Congratulations!  
      Congratulations to Jeff Harry for being chosen to receive the outstanding staff award, the "Pedestal", for January 2012. He received the award based on his genuine quality and his unwavering advocacy for the people he serves. His willingness to go above and beyong the call of duty for the best interest of his clients is inspiring. We are fortunate to have people with Jeff's integrity and fortitude at Riverside Rehab.     Amy award Amy Houser was the receipient of the October 2011 employee recognition award. She was instrumental in presenting the class and getting several of our staff members CAFAS certified and, as Dana put it, "SHE ROCKS". She has been an awesome addition to our staff and company and we are looking forward to more great things from her. She is also our resident Roller Derby Queen. Oops, did I type that out loud? Amy is a very positive person and a pleasure to work with. Especially after you get used to her sense of humor.  
      Kudos to Dana Hardy for being chosen to receive the outstanding staff award, the "Pedestal", for September 2011. She received the award based on her genuine quality and her ability to add humor and laughter to any situation. Her demonstrated willingness to stand up for her core values and advocate for the best interest of her clients is truly impressive.     Riverside Announces New Management Team Restructuring

    Effective January 2012, the Management team at Riverside has been restructured. Amy Korb, LPC, NCC, LSW, CPRP, will assume the position of Vice President of Riverside Rehab, Inc. and will continue in her role as Program Director for both the Clinical and Community-Based programs at Riverside. She will be assisted by Jerilynn Blum, LCPC, and Debi Scholten, LSW, LPC, in the clinic and Eric Hofer for the community based programs. Riverside’s Clinic services include Therapy and Medication Management for Medicaid participants and private pay clients, ages 5 and up. The Community-Based services offer PSR and Targeted Service Coordination for Medicaid recipients.

     
     

    Amy Korb, a nine-year veteran of Riverside, has been Program Manager of Riverside’s Community-Based Services for the last three and a half years. She recently completed her Masters in Counseling from Idaho State University. She currently has a license in Social Work and holds certification as a Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner. Amy maintains her involvement with Boise State School of Social Work and the alumni association.

    Jerilynn Blum Clinic Director

    Jerilynn Blum has been Director of the clinic at Riverside for the last two and a half years. She holds a Masters degree in Art Therapy and is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She also is a trained Sandtray Play Therapist with thirteen years of experience in offering this therapeutic modality to adults and children. Jerilynn requested part-time status in order to return to private practice and to create a business offering creative healing arts in Garden City.

     
     

    Eric Hofer, MA, will be serving now as the Community-Based Services Program Manager. He will provide oversight of PSR and Targeted Service Coordination (case management) services being offered by Riverside’s staff of eleven PSR workers. He will also be marketing Riverside’s services in the community. He recently completed his Masters in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University.

    Debi Scholten, MA, LSW, LPC, will continue to serve as Riverside’s Medicaid Intake Coordinator and program manager of Medicaid services. She oversees bringing clients into services, provides assessments, and coordinates that requirements are met for maintaining program compliance.

     
         
    New to Riverside
      Riverside Rehab would like to welcome Gene Hicks, to our excellent staff of PSR and Case Management professionals. He will be working with children and adults. Gene has a year of previous experience in the mental health field. Originally from Tacoma, Washington, he is a veteran of the United States military. He served in the Marines for eight years and another fourteen in the Army. He is a recent graduate of St. Martins University with a Bachelors degree in psychology and plans to enroll in graduate school at BSU this fall. Gene Hicks
    Carson Bedke

    Carson Bedke, graduated from the University of Idaho last Spring with a double major in Secondary Education and English. He is currently enrolled in the Masters in School Counseling program at BSU. He is looking forward to gaining experience mental health experience that can be applied to his Graduate program and utilizing the tools of his program in his service delivery at Riverside Rehab working part time as a PSR Specialist with children. Welcome aboard

     
      Steve Nelson, has a Bachelors degree in Sociology and extensive experience in the fields of social services and corrections. Steve comes to Riverside Rehab with thre years of PSR experience, primarily working with children and will fill a similiar role here. Steve also works as a Substance Abuse Disorder (SUD) program manager for the department of corrections. We are pleased to have such an experienced worker join our team!     Erin Andersen Social Worker Erin Andersen joined the Riverside Rehab PSR/CM team in July of 2011. Erin is from Colorado and has lived in the boise area for the last six years. She graduated from NNU with a BA in Social Work. She worked with troubled teens in the Meridian School District in the resource room at EHS for the last three years. We are glad to welcome Erin to our team!    
    paperwork New Forms for Staff Use  
      Riverside launches first drafts of forms available for download by staff and client. Client's can now download and complete new client registration forms before their visit to the Riverside Clinic. Community-based staff can access blank staff forms for completing their work away from the office.
