Gayle Detweiler, is Riverside’s newest physician assistant. She completed her undergraduate and graduate training at Temple University in Philadelphia. Her physician assistant training in Baltimore. Detweiler moved to Boise ten years ago to enjoy the beautiful wilderness that Idaho has to offer. She worked in hospitals and clinics before finding her niche in psychiatry 7 years ago.

Gayle enjoys hiking, camping, gardening, and watching her dogs frolic. She approaches psychiatric care holistically believing that medication works best if it is coupled with therapy, exercise, and a healthy lifestyle. Detwieler’s goal in her practice is to offer professional advice on various medications and educate the client as needed. “Ultimately, it is the client who decides on their course of care.”
